Beverly Hills Dining
Café Flore
By: Diane L Divo-Schultheis
This fantastic French restaurant turns a quiet section of Robertson Boulevard (214 S Robertson Boulevard), into the Left Bank with its dozen tables that emit a fresh California cuisine. This is a restaurant you can take the entire family to.
The Setting
Partners Fabien Gouy and Philippe Drey have converted an office space into a lovely French country café. It has welcoming beige tones from the beautifully tiled floor to the blond wooden chairs and tables. The dapple walls are hung with Parisian scenes. Their sidewalk tables are covered with a bright blue awning that are very inviting to the people strolling by.
The Food
They offer breakfast items like pancakes, omelets, croissants, and French toast. Their lunch includes sandwiches, burgers, and gourmet salads. Some of the more popular dinner items are crepe Suzette and saffron chicken. They also have an unusual specialty, Alsatian pizza that is made with salmon, mushroom, and tomato or traditionally with sour cream, onions, and bacon.
